Advent RPG Idea Brainstorm

RPG ideas for Advent. Like ye olde Iron Roleplayer, pitching ingredients and seeing what GMs do with them, but on a daily basis. And more festive.

The Snow Globe

Crafted by the finest court wizard for the children of the fallen realm, the Snow Globe appears to be a normal ornament until you notice that the model inside the globe represents where you are, and changes if you move. This is more obvious if you're near a suitable landmark, of course. When topped up with water and shaken, it will create gentle snowfall for a mile around in the real world, until the snow in the globe settles. This will somewhat calm inclement weather conditions - a raging storm will not stop, but will lessen in severity. But who's to say there's only one copy of the prophecy? The PCs arrive and find a bunch of different groups all camped out. There are some here to make sure it happens, some to make sure it doesn't, some who aren't sure depending on what the final signs actually reveal, students of divination looking to see how symbolic vs. literal the signs are, local authorities trying to move people along...
