Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back in the UK, rather later than in the US but at least we avoid the mid-season gap this way. So these spoilers are from back in September for many...
Since we last checked in, Avengers: Age Of Ultron has happened and this apparently hasn’t helped the agency’s reputation. Some months have passed as well, and the setup has been adjusted in a number of ways.
Coulson has a neat cybernetic hand but would rather not and doesn’t wear his signature suit all episode, Daisy is now going by her birth name rather than Skye, Bobbi is still in physio, Fitz has apparently bought off the stuttering disadvantage and gone full Watchers Council surprisingly badass academic.
There’s a new scary agency in town, and a new scary monster as well. Both establish themselves quite efficiently. One or both will presumably be a major seasonal Big Bad. (After the Real S.H.I.E.L.D. last year, I would guess full-on antagonism with the A.T.C.U. with a side order of working together grudgingly.)
Oh, and Simmons is on another planet.
